Feeling Hungry? Around Burien? Why not attend the Empty Bowls event for lunch or supper? You get a handcrafted bowl, soup, bread and the satisfaction that it all goes to a good cause!

Area potters have teamed up with the Highline Food Bank and Discover Burien to host Empty Bowls 2010! Empty Bowls events can be found around the country raising money to combat hunger in our communities. Potters have donated bowls to be filled with soup at this fun event…all are invited!

At the Burien/Highline Empty Bowls Event, your $10 minimum donation will get you the opportunity to pick out a beautiful handmade bowl, as well as a simple but wonderful meal of soup, bread, drink and dessert donated by area businesses. 90% of proceeds will go to the Highline Food Bank, which serves over 750 area families per month, 10% of proceeds will go to help provide arts programming to low income youth in Burien.
