I AM fake plastic fish! (minus the trashy photos)

Okay so Beth is asking us to live like her for a week. And put up trashy pictures. Like I would ever pose for a trashy picture- well, there was that one time in college...Hey... I needed the money. Anyway I digress- on her post today, she threw down the gauntlet (and incorporated Soots the cat)for us all to tally our plastic garbage use, and maybe put up a pic or two for posterity- I can do this. I have a sleek black cat (who doesn't nom plastic but hey he noms spaghetti and pizza) Just live plastic free for one week. Just keep thinking W.W.F.P.F.D.? (What would Fake Plastic Fish do?) So I accept Ms. Terry's challenge. Provided I don't have to pose for any trashy photos. I will start Monday so as to get a full week on my weekly challenge post.
UPDATE: As Condo Blues points out, the idea is not to see how little plastic you can do, but rather to see your normal total usage for a week. Got it. Thanks CB!

I can't believe there's no WWFPFD tee shirt.... 'cause I know it's the first thing we think when we have a plastic dilemma:)

Hahaha, that's so funny. Maybe I will take "trashy" photos of Luka for your lack of trashy photos. Lol.

Oh wait. Now I'm really confused. I thought the challenge was to collect and tally your normal plastic trash output for a week not switch things up so you go plastic free for the week. ???

this is totally OT but i saw you ask about a diabetic friendly candied peel recipe. i was interested too so i searched the internet and couldn't find one.
i did, however, find a recipe for an agave simple syrup

here is one with no sugar added:
http://fit-to-eat.blogspot.com/2008/05/agave-sweetened-lemonade.html

and here is one with sugar but maybe less than Chile uses:
AGAVE SIMPLE SYRUP
Specialty of Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant
San Francisco, CA
1/3 part agave nectar
1/3 part bottled water
1/3 part simple syrup
Combine ingredients and bring to a slow heat as you would to make simple syrup. Once the liquids have combined, leave to cool. Do not bring to a boil. Agave nectar can be found in any Whole Foods or quality food store. Refrigerate in a glass container.

i imagine that it may result in a lot of trial and error to get it right, but its worth a shot (hopefully)
