Make Do and Mend Challenge: Made some beef jerky and some diabetic peanut brittle for gifts. Repaired a plunger handle I use at work. About it for me. Oh yeah I picked up some new buttons for my work jacket and sewed them on.
How did everyone else do? I hope everyone stayed warm. I bet those who mended warm clothes are happy this week!

I darned a sock this week, mended a ripped seam, and cut some old t-shirts (beyond mending) into rags.

I mended a vinyl bag that I like to use as a purse for work. I'm embarrassed to admit that it's taken me a couple of years to get around to it, but it's done now and back into use.

My mending pile keeps growing again! Nevertheless, I have mended about 6 articles of clothing since last checking in.

We fixed the doorknob on the basement stairs that kept falling off. It's not good to be coming up the stairs with a full laundry basket and have the doorknob come off in your hand.
I also fixed one of my son's gloves- a seam had ripped and was letting in cold and wet badness.

Chile- darned socks! I need to do the same with some old Tee's

Mary- Bag it! Cool

Fleecenik- Sounds like fun! I use to have matchbox cars all over the place when I was little (I still have them but now that I am older they are "collectables!" And I had a matchbox city when I was 6 or 7 -but I always made my own

Prudent- I always have clothes that need mending- between my Dry Cleaner (who does alterations etc) and myself I try to keep ahead of it but there is always something

Full Freezer- I am glad you fixed that doorknob. If you get locked in the basement how will you blog?
