Is the President breaking the law??? With all this hooey about Urban Farming trademarks and such, I give you these facts:

• President and First Lady Obama have a substantial garden at the White House, which the WH Kitchen staff uses for state dinners and for cooking for the Obama's
  
• Mr. President has called upon the White House Kitchen Staff to Home brew Beer which President Obama served at their Super Bowl party
  
• And the Obama's established Bee Hives at the white house. Honey the white house uses.
  

Not since Thomas Jefferson, has a president been interested in growing their own food. Sure others have, I'm sure, but none that come to mind. Seems to me, then I would call the Obama's the First Family of Urban Homesteading. So, I'm thinking maybe Mr. President maybe should get into the fray over the Trademark Issue. It is only fitting. As President, Mr. Obama, moreover Mrs. Obama has shown class in in returning the food gardens to the white house landscaping. As I said the Obama's are the First Family of Urban Homesteading, not The Dervaes, so, Mr. President, take back the UH Name. Do it for democracy and the American Way. Do it for Freedom. Hell, Do it cause I want you to!

Now I am not fooling myself. Chances are the next republican elected president will tear out the garden and bring in paving to make a Nascar Track. Hell, even Reagan couldn't wait to tear out Jimmy Carter's Solar Panels on the White House. I always wondered if Reagan went up to the roof and said"Mr. Carter, Tear down those solar panels"

Anyway Mr. President, You now have the opportunity to show those that would copyright and disallow folks to practice in the 2nd oldest profession in the world that they cannot copyright a life style. Especially a lifestyle seem to have embraced, even if Michelle started it.

A joke from a co-worker

One sunny day in 2009 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue , where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."
The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The old man said, "Okay" and walked away.
The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."
The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.
The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U. S. Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Bush. I've told you already that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?"
The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."

How to elect a republican president

Hillary and Barack. Get it together folks! I was listening to AM 1090 tonight in the van between jobs at work- they were talking if you are for Hillary, what are your current feelings about Obama, and if you are for Obama, what are your current feelings about Hillary. I was amazed how many people were saying IF Hillary gets the nomination then I am not voting for president OR if Obama gets the nomination I am not voting for president. Goddammit people, it is time to wisen up! This just plays into BushIII's (McCain) hands. Not voting is what the old man wants. That and to carry out Dubya's mission. Buy not voting you are placing a vote in the McCain camp. And if you want 4 more years of war, (of course McCain wants 100), Bad econimic policy, More of the don't tax and spend republicans. Then don't vote. Your concsience should be good cause you didn't vote for the mother fucker. Of course you will be wondering how the hell he got elected... but it wasn't your fault. Democrats have the greatest ability of snagging defeat out of the jaws of Victory. This is one reason why. I say if you don't vote then move your ass to France! And to Hillary and Barack- it is time to start finding some common good and get it together to beat BushIII!
