Well "Black Friday" November 25 (November 26th in the rest of the world ) is coming.It is also Buy Nothing day. And maybe MTV, ABC and CTV wouldn't air adbusters Buy nothing ad, but they didn't come around to my world. ANd I am proud to show their ad!

Buy Nothing Day doesn't mean Don't buy gifts. Just put some thought behind it. Buy handmade. Or buy used. Or make it yourself. And ignore Black Friday. Your pocket book and nerves will thank you!

New Hat for Bald Head!

I gots a new hat!!!. My very talented friend, Karin, of Fleecenik Farm fame opened an Etsy shop, called Fleecenik Designs where she sells these very cool yet warm wool hats, along with sweaters, ponchos, and mittens. You should check her shop out. Rumor has it her son Tristan, a budding blacksmith, might sell some metal work on the shop as well!(y'all know how I am about garden art!!!)

Vanilla Gifts

I got 7 bottles of home made vanilla out of a 5th of bourbon! I got my small bottles today. So scratch 6 gifts off my list (Yes I have 7 bottles... you think I ain't keeping one?). I am giving these, along with a quart jar of vanilla sugar for gifts this year. Thanks so much to Abbie for this gift idea from her blog

SPRING IS HERE AT LAST!!!

After waiting all winter, the Burien Farmers' Market opened today. I feel like spring has sprung and we have all climbed out of our coccoons. It help that the weather was sunny and spring like as well.

Romeo and I perused the market and bought some handmade soap, some leeks and some tomato plants and some homemade fudge.

We also had lunch there. A BBQ hot dog and chips. Who could ask for more?

My Etsy Shop is now open (Romeo's Giveaway!)

I decided to finally open a shop on Etsy. I call it "Another Man's Treasure". Catchy huh? Well to celebrate I am going to offer one of the things (well actually the only item in my shop right now) up for a giveaway- A dog poop bag holder. The shop describes these as:
